Huh?

The difference in price for all the netbooks are related to features, and make them all nearly identical in terms of getting for your . You cannot possibly compare a 8.9" with a 10", or a 8gigSSD with a 64 gig SSD, and especially not a 3 cell with a 6 cell. Right now is the time to choose what matters most and get one. Me? I like the stripped down aspire one. If I want or need another stick of ram, I can get one when they are practically free, and the small SSD drive is fine, since my lappy goes home nearly every night and unloads in the toilet that is my desktop with 500 gigs. Why waste energy carrying all that electronic weight?

i was at the mall yesterday and i saw a much better specs for acer aspire one...it's called aspire one a0a-150 it cost 26,900 pesos. And well if you even compare that with the new asus eee pc 1000 or 1000h it's still a steal!

1000h is about 25 thou and with a much lower memory..like, i think it's just 20 or 30 gb!

definitely now...i have my eyes on the new acer aspire one a0a-150! ah! a few more months and im gonna be able to buy this baby. I just hope that they will still continue making one and by november or december the 26,900 is 20k-23k..

this is definitely a steal!

hiromifan...i'd suggest you wait before buying the eee 901..and look at other options.

I've been a long time Acer user too and while it does tend to run hot, I hardly ever have a problem with them. I use stands to elevate them and get a lot of air circulating at the bottom. This of course requires that I have desk in front of me and so it's hardly ever literally a laptop. I've been holding off buying myself one of these UMPCs waiting for the best bang for my buck. If the article you linked is true, it looks like I have a winner in the Acer One.

I have been using ACER for close to 2 years now. Performance-wise, I don't have any problems. But you better make sure that these new ACERs don't get as hot as the old models they have. Even with 2 internal fans, 1 tabletop fan and 1 mini industrial fan, the laptop gets insanely hot, enough to burn your lap. The laptop automatically shuts down when it gets too hot so there's always a danger of losing the file you are currently working on.
