Consumers are looking for a good deal on a notebook that "just works." $100 off of an already expensive computer is almost like a slap on the face for consumers that want a nice Mac but just are a little tight right now. Of course they will sell some at this price, 100 bucks is a 100 bucks, but believe me this isn't going to do much for the standard consumer. So much for the cheap Apple netbook everyone has been rumoring. I will say though these new Macs are sweet. This strapped college kid will have to wait for either cheaper prices or better times, though. I think that the price drop on the new Macbooks is pretty much a joke.
