And it’s still alive.
Fancy that. IBM must have thought of everything when they made this model seven years ago. Can the current set of Lenovo-produced Thinkpads do that? I don’t think so (because owners are likely to be more careful).
Anyway, I tripped on the power cable and down came the laptop flying onto the floor. Times like these I wish I had a MacBook Pro so I can have the safety of a Magsafe power adaptor.
I guess it’s time to save up for a new laptop. Even if I’d done all upgrades possible on this machine (large hard disc, RAM, OS, new battery, WiFi), I’ll probably be needing a faster, smaller laptop pretty soon. Most likely, that would come from pro-blogging revenues (am looking forward to something big).
At any rate, I’ll be more careful from now on.
Starstruck? Let's go star tripping.

1amazing…first you blame Windows for almost frying your laptop to a crisp when it should’ve been YOUR responsibility to make sure your laptop shut down properly, then you blame your computer again for failing to prevent it from falling off the table due to YOUR clumsiness.
you: “if i had a Mac, these wouldn’t happen…”
riiiight.
why don’t you smash your Windows laptop with a sledgehammer while you’re at it, so you can finally get an idiot-proof Mac, the supposed “savior” of all your laptop misfortunes?

2Wow. That’s an over-simplistic way of looking at things. Tsk.
And yes, I do have an idiot-proof Mac.
