Better blogging part 2
Tuesday

Kudos to Keith of To-Done for coming up with a follow-up (part 2, if you may) to his writeup on being a more productive blogger (which I earlier cited).
Highlights:
- Tell a story
- Break up long posts into shorter ones
- Use lists
- Maximize the use of drafts
- Quote liberally
- Respond to feedback
- Don’t obsess on stats
Keith also posts on how you can use blogs and blogging to be more productive (outside of the blogging activity itself):
- Learn from blogging
- Use your blog to sort out problems
- Use your blog as a knowledge repository
- Use your blog to test ideas
It’s quite evident that it’s still the content and interactivity that
can make or break a blog. The technical aspects such as design and
the bells-and-whistles may be secondary. But if you could come up
with great content and a visually-appealing formatting, then you’ve got
what it takes to be a great blogger!
