Cool search!

Interesting: was checking through my stats and ran into a search for these keywords in Google: “Contribution of J. Angelo Racoma in the Philippines” (without the quotes).
Makes me wonder if I’d indeed been contributing positively to the
country with all these undertakings I’m getting into. Perhaps I am: to the
online Filipino community at the very least.
I’m getting to be controversial. Blame it on Google for placing my site on the top results of queries for “Filipino Economist.”
I even got an e-mail last week from a student inquiring on
what I do as an economist. I responded I’m not as good as Google
would want people to believe–it’s the J Spot’s (or any good blog, for
that matter) being search-engine friendly that’s doing the positive
publicity. I’m probably not half as good as most of my UP Econ
and graduate Dev Econ classmates. But hey, you can ask me anything about
real-world economics. As provider for a family of four, I can
most likely give you an honest-to-goodness answer on what I think about
the Philippine economy today.
Ah, the power of weblogs.
