Hi. Welcome to the new home of the J Spot!
I'm J. Angelo Racoma, a full-time professional blogger and freelance writer. In my previous life, I was a lackey for the Philippine government (an economist) and thereafter a corporate drone for the country's domain registry (we also created blogging solutions). I have also worked on several independent web development projects for government and private enterprises, and provided web content on a freelance basis. Do check out my profile and Curriculum Vitae to learn more about me. Or click here to learn more about this blog.
You are currently viewing my personal tech blog, The J Spot. Please feel free to leave a response to any of my articles, using the forms provided at the bottom of each post. You may also contact me directly at jangelo (at) racoma (dot) net, or via my mobile phone (call or SMS) at +63-927-5360123.
I'm making it a point to blog only about serious and relevant material here on the J Spot. If you feel you're not getting enough content, please do visit my Elsewhere page for links to my other blog posts. You can also see links to interesting stuff I happen to stumble upon and bookmark on del.icio.us and DIGG.
If you have an RSS reader, you may add my feed to your subscriptions. I personally recommend Bloglines (click here to add my site to your bloglines subscriptions if you already have an account). You can also subscribe to updates by email.

2Is there a way to replace the Xandros OS and install Ubuntu on it? If there is, can you detail it for us or send a link? I’ve heard a lot of criticism against Xandros and have no intention of using it.

3this cute item should be in my Christmas gift wish list! My IBM X40 is almost 3 years old now. I thought I would never want another light and cute laptop (other than my IBM x40), but when I saw this this cute ASUS, I just can’t help thinking dreaming about it. Is this really a good one too?
