GMA 7 to launch new free-TV channel QTV

GMA 7, one of the Philppines’ larger television networks, is set to launch QTV (QualityTV) on November 11, 2005. Channel 11 is operated by ZOE Broadcasting Network, Inc. (chaired by Bro. Eddie Villanueva), which is to lease its full airtime to GMA.

In the early part of 2005, Citynet, a subsidiary of GMA Network
and ZOE-TV entered an agreement for Citynet leasing the entire TV
airtime block of Channel 11 in exchange of a upgrading the facilities
of ZOE and a ZOE-TV program on GMA-7 every Monday midnight after its
Sunday primetime TV block.Come November 11, 2005, QTV Channel 11 will join the league of
free-TV channels as it goes full blast. QTV-11, GMA Network’s VHF
station, will air a colorful lineup geared mostly towards women and
women’s concerns.

In all, I think QTV will have programs that are more thematically and
audience-focused. They’re finding another venue (another channel
altogether!) where they do not need to go by the proven formula for
success: international soap-operas (espanyol nobela, chinobela,
koreanobela, indinobela, crapnobela) or local fantasy-soaps.
Wow, Wikipedians are sure fast to put up news, even on the local front (here from the Philippines). I hope QTV would be the answer to the otherwise degrading moral standards of local free TV. With scandals left and right (especially on the showbiz front, and sometimes even in the news!), the Filipino audience deserves a fresh approach to free TV programming.
Kudos to GMA for this cool concept.

hi, im one of the viewers of GMA7 which i was not used to watch ur prime time show was not diercted well bec. it is not consistent.listen to the songs u use to b a theme song the stories was changeble.its like u dont understand the lyrics of the songs it not compatible.
Such as LUPIN, Supertweens…hope u look forwad to ur program………

hello, bakit gayan ang story nyo obvious na obvious subrang pinoy ang O.A. lalo na ang telisirye nyong lupin; all i know about Lupin in catoons was mailap,di nag iiwan ng bakas and why ganyan subrang walang kabuhay-buhay c lupin dyan.walang treling…ang pangit talaga always nahuhuli at may naiiwan pang bakas………………………………sana man ayusin nyo naman sayang si RIchard na sisira ang image nya dyan.

ay naku! mas maganda talaga ang QTV 11 kasi quality shows ang mga palabas sa QTV 11 na nagpoproduce ng quality shows di gaya ng Studio 23 puro english ang mga palabas dun @ puro pasosyalan ang mga palabas dun @chaka nakakabagot talaga ung mga shows sa S23 esp. english @chaka ung show sa Studio 23 ung wazzup2x ang korny din hayyyyyyy!

dapat magreformat na yan channel 23 kung gus2 nila lumakas ung istasyon na yan channel 23, dapat maglagay cla ng local shows 2lad ng sitcom, drama, talk, reality, variety, game @ public affairs show.

Ang comment ko sa blog na is maganda siya. While searching kasi about lupin sa channel 7 is ito ang una kung nakita sa google search and I just like to put comment.
Talking on qtv naman is like ko ang mga korean novela nila. Lahat na siguro. Nako lalo na ang mga anime nila. Pero now di nako masyadong nanonood ng tv kasi daming assignments, test first day palang huh. thats why. Pero pag saturday and sunday medyo may time ako ng kaunti.

sana magkaroon ng magazine show for the men sa QTV 11, kasi puro magazine show for women sa QTV 11 so sana magkaroon naman sa QTV 11 yung magazine show for the men @chaka ang QTV ay istasyon na hindi lang para sa mga kababaihan kundi para din sa mga kalalakihan @ maging sa buong pamilya, buong barkada @ buong barangay basta quality shows nga lang na tatangkilikin ng mga Filipinp people lalaki man o babae, bata man o matanda, yun lang.

Good eve! This is Christel and I am a Q TV viewer. Last night, (June 20, 2007, Wednesday) I was fortunate enough to watch RX Men. Inabangan ko talaga kasi interesting ang topic nyo – about glutathione. . Im glad na nag-feature kayo about it… I just want to ask the family name of KRIZZY, the guy who shared his story how glutathione helped him a lot. i hate people na lagi kinokompara yung Studio 23 (sis. company ng ABS CBN 2) at QTV 11 (sis. company ng GMA 7) atchaka lagi tinitira ng Studio 23 fans yung QTV 11 keyso yung mga nanonood sa QTV eh hindi marunong magenglish tapos hindi naman sosyal yung mga tao dun sa QTV kahapon nabasa ko naman yung message sa ABS CBN forum na ang QTV 11 magrereformat na daw kasi gagayahin naman yung QTV 11 yung Studio 23 paano kasi nilalangaw daw yung QTV 11, hello? baka studio 23 ang nilalangawan sa ratings, kasi yan ang pinakakulelat sa TV ratings sa lahat Studio 23 biruin niyo naman!

Hello! I’m also an avid viewer of gma7 and qtv 11..but now i used to watch more and more shows on qtv, like sweet life, stairways to heaven, are you smarter than a 5 years old?, and other chinovelas in the afternoon..and of course I’m looking forward also to watch House MD to be shown this tues at 8:30! I could just say more power to qtv 11 for it’s quality programming!

Kahit n wala sa hulog at predictable ang script ng impostora,angelita,meteor garden at iba pa,puro recycle ang mga story sa GMA7.Kay jumong parin ako.Nakakapuyat kayo hinuhuli nyo ung magandang palabas.Nauubusan naba tayo ng magagaling na script writer o finifilter nyo lang.nauubusan naba tayo ng talent at un parin ang mga artistang bida sa susunod na project?
Sa palagay ko kaya sikat ang mga Koreanovala ay pulido ang story.at hindi kung sino ang gumaganap na bida?

mas gusto gma 7 kesa abs kase sa abs ang hilig hilig nila paartehin mga artista yong mga di marunong umarte, pinapakanta yong mga di marunong kumanta at pinasasayaw yong mga di marunong sumayaw, mukha lang ang tinitingnan at di yong talent.
i always watch meteor garden, 24 hours, anghelita and marimar. nainis lang ako nung dumating ang zaido. i have nothing against zaido, kaya lang ang haba haba naman, sana gawin nyong mas maiksi.. better yet ilipat nyo na lang ng time slot, mga boys lang ang mahilig manood nyan, ilagay nyo na lang sa saturday slot or afternoon slot…

i love chinese and korean dramas of qtv. i hope they will rewind other dramas like luvstorm,snow angel, marmalade boy, poor prince, loving you, my love cindy and other beautiful dramas shown on gma. i hope they will also feature on the sweet life the dubbers behind these dramas. magaganda ang boses nila. sana i-feature din ng qtv si ken zhu pag dumating siya. sana magpalabas pa ang qtv na new dramas like one fine day, tree of heaven, the legend, corner with love, delicious relationship and other new dramas. sana huwag palitan ng tagalog ang mga original sound track. thanks and more power!

Gustong-gusto ko ng Qtv11 kasi malinaw at maraming Korean Dramas. Sana magpalabas pa ng new Korean dramas. Ang ganda ng My 19 Year Old Sister in Law, ok ang story line at syempre yung Fashion 70′s din. Pero sana magpalabas pa kayo ng Korean Dramas ni Kim Rae Won. kahit yung mga luma na gaya ng I Love Patzzi, Say You Love Me at marami pang iba. Pero mas maganda yung latest niya na “Sunflower”.

Sana ipalabas niyo rin ang “Gourmet”. Latest Korean Drama Series ni Kim Rae Won at mga movies niya. At sana kung posible na ang GMA 7 at QTV 11 will invite Kim Rae Won dito sa Philiipines. Alam ko rin naman na marami ding Filipinos esp. Filipina girls ang may gusto kay Kim Rae Won. Yun ay kung pwede lang naman. Kung di siya possible, kahit ipalabas na lang yung mga Drama Series at movies niya sa station niyo.
I can’t wait to watch The Sweet Life dahil sa Korean episode nila at dahil kay Kim Rae Won.

may bagong show si jojo alejar sa QTV 11 kungdi ang its sobrang late night w/ jojo alejar all the way na mapapanod tuwing monday-friday 11pm sa QTV 11 na nagsimula noong last week. kasi nakita ko lang noong last week pagcomercial break ng kung ako’y ikaw at magpakailanman. but anyway kung gusto niyo mag request kayo sa GMA 7 @ QTV 11 mag e-mail kayo sa postmaster@igma.tv.
