GMA 7 to launch new free-TV channel QTV

GMA 7, one of the Philppines’ larger television networks, is set to launch QTV (QualityTV) on November 11, 2005. Channel 11 is operated by ZOE Broadcasting Network, Inc. (chaired by Bro. Eddie Villanueva), which is to lease its full airtime to GMA.

In the early part of 2005, Citynet, a subsidiary of GMA Network
and ZOE-TV entered an agreement for Citynet leasing the entire TV
airtime block of Channel 11 in exchange of a upgrading the facilities
of ZOE and a ZOE-TV program on GMA-7 every Monday midnight after its
Sunday primetime TV block.Come November 11, 2005, QTV Channel 11 will join the league of
free-TV channels as it goes full blast. QTV-11, GMA Network’s VHF
station, will air a colorful lineup geared mostly towards women and
women’s concerns.

In all, I think QTV will have programs that are more thematically and
audience-focused. They’re finding another venue (another channel
altogether!) where they do not need to go by the proven formula for
success: international soap-operas (espanyol nobela, chinobela,
koreanobela, indinobela, crapnobela) or local fantasy-soaps.
Wow, Wikipedians are sure fast to put up news, even on the local front (here from the Philippines). I hope QTV would be the answer to the otherwise degrading moral standards of local free TV. With scandals left and right (especially on the showbiz front, and sometimes even in the news!), the Filipino audience deserves a fresh approach to free TV programming.
Kudos to GMA for this cool concept.

Yes, I’m also a fan of these korean novelas in the afternoon everyday, why did you transfer the 2 dramas on Sunday? Your previous time slots are much better, pls. make it everyday, I don’t mind if they are replay I still love to watch it. Please?

hay aku nilipat nin u ang jumong s sunday tuloy ngayon di ako nakapanood bakit naman kc nin u nilipat ng airtime tama na sana yong 2 to 2:30pm everyday boring ang buhay ko evry sunday p tpos ma busy pa ako s time 11 to 12 my god..2nd time n ko n yan di naman ako nagsasawa sana ibalik na nin s dting time at pede start from the start na lang. thanx

GOD bless your network QTV! for your public services segments just like THE REUNIONS which helps the people connect to each other specially to those who had been separated for a very long time. I am one of the people who have a case like that my tita doesnt visit her homeland for almost 20 years. thats why I Pass in your site here, asking for your help. We are just a poor citizen of The island of mindanao, dito kasi nakapag asawa ang mama ko sa misamis oriental, pero ang totoong probinsya nang ina ko ay sa Zumarraga west. Samar . Kapatid po ng ina ko ang matagal nang hindi umuuwi sa Samar. hanggang sa ngayon hindi pa niya alam na patay na si lolo, at hinahanap siya nito ng lolo bago pa siya namatay noong march ng taong ito.

all we have just known is My tiyahin , Anita versoza (HER name when she was not married) is currently living at the province of bulacan,. but its not easy for us to search her because manila is far away from our place, opol misamis oriental. I receive also information from my relatives in Zumarraga island , that she have her family now, once and last they visit zumarraga. all what we want is her presence and not of what she has now, I want to complete this mission because my lola was already too old, I don’t want, that she will pass in this world not feeling the presence of her daughters, dont want she will feel as what lolo felt, my lolo died searching for his daughters, (Tiya Anita and my mother) cause at that time we haven’t been in samar for a very long time since 1989 the last visit of my mother in samar, recently this may of this year I,d took back the communication from our family to my grandmother, by using my friendster searching my cousins since I knew what town they are set in, through FIND BY TOWN. And currently i still continue to search my tita for the sake of my clan.

please help me find my real mother..i was adopted by my adoptive parents since birth..and after 3 court hearing i was given this name and was left to my adoptive parents..i know want to know the real truth behind everything,who my real father was..was he the one who adopted me?kasi i was deprieve of everything by my sister in law..please help me..with God i believe that nothing is impossible,there are lot of things i need to share but its hard with just a comment..i lived a cruel life since i was adopted and up to the present..hope to know and find my real mother,i learned that she was in pampanga…lourder,angeles,pampanga..since my father was working in clrak air base before as a technician and a U>S airforce but he is a filipino.thank you so much..hope you wold be able to read this..i almost loose my hope and with God’s help,i believe in your show..REUNIONS.God bless
