A map of the Mactan Channel from Google Map was labeled as CDNGraphics. Know more about this in

Thanks for the update, Seav. There's a lot of stuff one can do with Google Maps' API, especially now that Makati's clearer.

There's a recent update (October 3) to the satellite imagery. I'm sure you've noticed before that Makati CBD is covered in clouds. This recent update fixed that and we now have most of Metro Manila without clouds! :)

I've blogged about this update: Cloudless Makati in Google Maps! and "Google Maps/Earth Updated Coverage". Enjoy "roof-surfing"! :)

[...] Things sure happen fast. After my post about higher resolution satellite imagery available for Metro Manila, I got in touch with my colleague, j4s0n, to brainstorm on what we could possibly do with such a development. Just a few days later (about half a day’s worth of work perhaps), he announces his latest Web app, Pinoy Locator. [...]

[...] Couple this with the slew of location and geo-tagging technologies available today and you have one excellent way of seeing what reals the Pinoy has “conquered.” Closer to the homefront, Google has already added higher-resolution satellite imagery for many of the Philippines’ metropolitan areas into Google Maps, previously available only with the client-based Google Earth. With this, enterprising developers can now come up with iBegin or LocalBrit type of Web applications–either asking users to contribute information, reviews, and photos of establishments, or providing an easy way to locate establishments and addresses from existing geo-tagged data all with the Google Maps interface.
