Musings on being a work-at-home dad

I recently made my first post of substance on the Man Blog, entitled The Work-at-Home Dad: time issues (all of my other posts were links pointing to items of interest, unlike my fellow TMB editors, who make it a point to come up with rather substantial interesting articles on a regular basis).

Today’s trends in technology and telecommuting are breaking … age-old traditions. You can now run your business or hold your office at the comfort of your own abode, whether you’re running your own gig, or you’re slaving off for some corporation. So if you’re staying at home, you won’t necessarily be the male equivalent of a housewife, especially if you earn a living off whatever activity you’re doing. In fact, the term “housewife” has been considered passé, with the term “homemaker” coming into fashion with the rise of politically-correct terminology.

I basically rant and rave on some issues one might have to face when working from home, in my case with the fact that I have a family to take care of also. Pro-blogging for singles may be less of a task, as you can do what you please with your time and no one would care. But when you have two kids to attend to, it’s a whole different ball game.

Do check out my post. I intend to create a series under this topic.
