Like an idiot, i went to HP service during my warranty, i asked them, "Whats this little spot on the speaker." They said "Nothing, but in anycase avoid keeping your hand here.. . get an ext. keyboard."
They changed my fan for the noise. damaged the hinges in the process, and when i made a noise, changed the LCD too. But.. and its a big but....
1 months later, the damn speaker grill is completely rusted, and messed up.
I used the ext. keyboard, this still happened. Isnt that grill a design- flaw, and shouldn't HP own up to its faulty design and paint. So what if the warranty period is over. The laptop was badly made. Now i feel gyped,
and of course, llke a moron.

they really replace the whole topcase when there's something wrong with any part of it (lcd, hinge, etc.) since it's "modular" they say. i had my lcd screen replaced then and suddenly my laptop looked all brand new with the protective plastic screen on the screen and the topcase itself.
