Podcasting – the future of talk?

As blogs are to mainstream news media, will podcasting
be that formidable challenger to commercial radio? Much talk has
been going on in how podcasting has allowed the average Joe or Jane (or
Juan or Maria, in the case of Filipinos) can make his/her voice heard
by the public-at-large. While the trend started with tech talk
shows (the staple of the tech-savvy set), topics now include almost
anything, ranging from food to religion.
