Sacha Chua seems to like the way her laptop sticker grabs attention in public.
Want to meet interesting but don’t want to have to make the first move? Use the back of your laptop to get people to talk to you. Stickers are a great way to do that…

I think she need to polish the idea little bit. intead of using an ultraportable notebook why not use those giant screen deal instead with an ad that say “this dell sucks battery might explode soon.. switch to apple.. ask me how?”

Sacha seems to like the idea.

@Alfa, yup. I noticed that in cabs and buses here. Even the MRT is plastering ads all over the trains.

@Corsarius, I’m thinking of something larger—I think Sacha is even thinking of covering the entire laptop lid with ads.

@Vance, yup. Chris also runs the site Lockergnome and the Gnomedex event. I don’t think he runs around half-naked though—he just takes pics of his chest with the ads. Imagine that. $200 for a pic of a painted chest.

Using shirts would be better. Still, if I were to present the idea to advertisers, there must be set rules for the laptop (or shirt) owner, to ensure optimal impressions. That’s why I’d love to have my coffee and snacks subsidized so I have an incentive to go out.

Chris Pirillo is the same guy who is working with Leo laporte and other techtv reps in reviving Techtv which will be now called UndoTV. Neways this a cool way to advertise.

Maybe using shirts since its also easy to create one using computers. atleast you don’t need to be half naked, hehe.

hehe, what a cool idea. because my laptop doesn’t have a sticker on its lid (yeah, ‘custom-built’ whatever), i have the fleixibility of placing anything on it. right now i have a little “corsarius.net” sticker as a placeholder
