Abe, Marc and I (three of us: two bald and one really handsome) were interviewed yesterday by Dave Llorito on our pro-blogging activities. We got to share how we make decent livings off our blogs and other blog-related activities. We also shared on the basics, from means of earning off one’s blog and alternative revenue sources and models.

Marc played the devil’s advocate by being on the “nay” side–for Marc there’s no money to be made in blogging (but undoubdetly his blog earns him a decent residual income).

Then Abe and I headed off to talk tech and business over a pitcher of draft San Mig. Got to meet his new Ebox laptop, which made my old Thinkpad look like a geezer beside a sexy, shiny new thing.

We came up with excellent plans for world domination, starting with blogs and blogging, of course.

Some highlights of our discussion with Dave:

  • There’s money to be made in blogging, but there are only a very fortunate few who can earn decent income from their blogging.

  • There’s money to be made in blogging, yet it’s but a fraction of what one can earn thru other online activities.

  • Blogging for profit is not as easy as it seems or looks!

  • Blogs are surely becoming an influence in the world media (also locally).

These are things not unbeknownst to most venturing into pro-blogging (thru whatever means). Good luck to those who plan to go the pro-blogging route! We’ll wait for your article to come out, Dave!
