Propaganda?

Seems like the Arroyo Administration
had been quite wily in its using the media, particularly the Malacañang
Press Corps, as a mouthpiece for its propaganda.  It was all in
the news this Wednesday and Thursday how the MPC seemed to have been
manipulated in its last press conference with President Arroyo.

Jove gives the nitty gritty on the issue in two posts: “Relaunch kink” and “System failure“.

My take on the matter: the Administration needs all the good publicity
it can get, especially after surveys (which one/s?) with about 75% of
the respondents wanting her out of office.  But with such stunts
backfiring, I can just bet President Arroyos’ spin doctors are
currently scratching their heads.

On the same “Gloriagate” issue, iBlog will be holding a mini-summit
on August 4 at the UP College of Law.  Seats are limited (either
that, or they’re trying to artificially up the demand ) ), so I
suggest you register now.
