2problems like what? lost posts??? hehe or link_cat error something. Wordpress 2.1 gave me 4 hours head ache with that and I found out that my theme wasn’t working well with the latest release from wp.
I followed this site: here to be able to fix those problems

3Yeah, I first realized that Ultimate Tag Warrior (UTW) doesn’t work properly with WP 2.1. Then I realized my theme itself was incompatible—or at least the live search and live comment functions. So now you might notice my blog no longer has live search nor live comments.
However, when I reverted to 2.07 UTW was having problems again, particularly with displaying tag archives. I had to revert to an old UTW version (2.88) and do some .htaccess hacks so friendly tag URLs would work (an issue that’s not supposed to be there with UTW 3++).

4I guess, you’ll have to wait for a little bit more for plug-in compatibility.
buti nalang po ako walang masyadong plug-ins hehe. kaya konting fix lang sa theme codes (changing codes from the link posted). suprisingly it works.
Yung una asar ako eh kasi pag click ko yung post ko, not found daw then pag back ko no post found on a said category (wala na mga post ko!) yun pala talagang maring new wp codes na bago na incompitble with the theme i’m using. ngayon po ok na.

5Good thing I did not upgrade yet because I am afraid that it might mess up my blog.

6[...] So I looked the other bloggers sites. Jayvee’s Pwit Vs PTB post had me grinning. Adel Gabot vs. Abraham Olandres, eh? Hehe. Angelo’s having a wordpress upgrade problem – which somewhat signals me NOT to upgrade yet. I’ll wait till Angelo’s own site is upgraded and he posts about it. It will save me a lot of hassle. [...]

7It was a blessing in disguise that my attempt to upgrade didn’t work. I was spared by headaches that had been discussed in some mailing lists. It is quite disappointing after the hype that this new version does not work with some plug-ins. I read that if you want them to work, you can ask the plug-in authors to upgrade. Hmmm…oh well…

8Problems with WP 2.1? Hmmm…good thing I haven’t upgraded yet. I was also worried that I might be having problems with the new version. I’m using WP 2.1 on my dream blog, though. I haven’t encountered any problems just yet. But I’m just able to say that because I’ve only started the dream blog
Hey, are you related to Dr. Jay Racoma? Are you his brother or something?

9Tess, Jay is my first cousin. Doctor, huh?
I think he’s on his residency (in the US??)
Guys, be sure to check out the plugin compatibility lists first. Still, you SHOULD backup your entire WP database before trying an upgrade.

10I slept so late last night because upgrading gave me so much problems, and I got so frustrated because I didn’t get any problems when I upgraded my other blogs. Until I learned that I also have to upgrade my category visibility plugin… and my page posts are showing at my archives! sigh

13Good to see that you got things back in order. I’d wait it out for the plugins to update for 2.1. Dreamhost hasn’t adopted this release either.

14I also encountered some hurdles upgrading to 2.1. It took me several hours before I was able to restore my blog from a backup.
