Sky DSL / Bayantel DSL now Bayan DSL. Speeds Have Increased!

Just got word from Bayantel DSL customer service that they have increased speeds across the board. New plan speeds are as follows:
* Plan 899 (PhP 899 per month) – from 384 Kbps now 768 Kbps, burstable to 1280 Kbps during off-peak hours
* Plan 1699 (PhP 1,699 per month) – from 768 Kbps now 1280 Kbps, burstable to 1536 Kbps during off-peak hours
* Plan 1999 (PhP 1,999 per month; new plan!) – 2048 Kbps
* Plan 2560 (PhP 2,560 per month) – from 1536 Kbps now 2560 Kbps
Apparently new subscribers as of Nov 1st of this year are getting these packages already. Existing subscribers have to request for an upgrade, which I find very inconvenient and unfair (because we don’t get it automatically). Still, this is a good move on Bayantel’s part, especially considering that their competitors are also increasing speeds.

‘Have been a subscriber for more 2 years I believe. I didn’t have a problem w/ bayandsl since a couple of months ago. speed has really gone down to a crawl, specially during office hours and early evening.
During late evening upto early morning speeds are upto par with their ads and competitors. 1am – 4am at times exceeds my subscribed speed. This maybe due to their (SOD) promo? Even though i don’t turn the feature on.
Their after sales service is best ; one day after a complaint their service crew is there checking everything – however – i need the speed. So, I’ll give them a month or two, see if this improves – if not then I’ll have to shift to another ISP.
From my understanding, this problem is based as per area ; the more subscribers in the area – the slower the connection would be as connections are shared.
My area as per router:
Sat Jun 13 17:28:32 2009 PADO recv 0016 PROJ8-PE2-ST50
I assume this includes proj 6 area as well as I am in proj 6 but a few hundred meters away from the boundary of Proj 8.
So in conclusion – BayanDSL business (i assume) is good ; but for people like me who were first to subscribe in the area are suffering the consequence – hence – If you are near Proj 6 to Proj 8 area then I would look for another ISP.

guyz..naka plan 899 aq pero ung download speed ko eh sobrang bagal ranging from 20-30 kbps lng. anu po kaya ung problema? may tweaks po ba kau pa tulong naman oh, at tsaka n ddc po minsan, p tulong nman oh,,tga tacloban city po ako

BayanDSl ang gamit ko ngayon pero wala naman problem, in term of speed, mabilis sya at sa gaming. fairvew ako located.

Plan 899 po ba gamit mo? i’m planning to subscribe kasi eh. Sa camarin caloocan kasi ako. Malapit lang yun sa fairview eh. One jeepney ride lang. So, if plan 899 ang gamit mo, ndi rin cguro ako mgkakaproblema sa speed if ever magsubscribe ako.

almost mag 3years na din connection ko sa Bayantel dsl pero wala ako problem sa speed ng connection.. kung meron man tawag lang ako sakanila agad nmn inaayos.. pati modem kun sira papalitan…. swerte ko lang kc quezon city area ako at mas ok connection ng bayantel sa amin….. hindi na ako mag papalit ng internet provider ko…. stick na ako d2 kc nakukuha ko speed ko na binabayaran ko lalo na pag SOD (SpeedOnDemand) nila pag gabi… kaya sa gabi lagi ako download ehehehe ^_^;………..

how about sa Sorsogon in Bicol? kamusta nman ang Bayantel DSL d2? anyone who is using here? I’m planning din kc na magpaconnect but I don’t know kung magiging ok ba kc ung isa kung frend sabi daw lagi nagpuputol ang line. And I’m thinking of smart bro nman pero ang balita ko parang ang bgal,,, kc dun nga sa cousin ko ang speed ng download 10kbps hanngang 20kbps. anu ba dun problema? parang daig pa nga ng dial-up.

hey guys nun last saturday may pumunta sa bhay na magkakabit ng dsl chineck lang yung mga cable then sabi di daw maikakabit diko tuloy malaman kung tinatamad lang ba yung contractor na nagkakabit ng cable or yun na yung hint na hihingi na sila ng lagay badtrip nirerfund ko ang payment ko tas na hold pa mag antay daw ng 1 week what kind of service do you have guys masisira kayo sa customer nyan.. kesyo ganon kesyo ganyan di na lang ninyo sabihin kung pede o hinde.. do something.. dapat mag focus din kayo sa compliant at iwasan ang macompromiso.. prove me wrong kalookohan na di kmi makakabitan ng dsl lahat ng neighbors ko bayantel ang line ng phone.. if you’re really reaching out sa mga customer like me do your job, wag paasahin ang customer, be responsible and patient.. almost everyday na lang tumatawag ako sa hotline walang nangyayari kaya diko ko na lang sasahin yung concern at complaints ko..

ang bagl ng download speed ngayon. more than 2 yrs na din ako sakanila pero mg 1 month na ang bagal pa din. 2 weeks ang bagal ng streaming tapos ngayon ng switch sa download speed naman mabagal. what is 6kbs????

Nagpakabit ako ng Feb for plan 899. Pinaupgrade ko kaagad for 1699 kasi sobrang bagal. Kahit nakaclean boot bagal pa rin. Reinstalled my OS still the same. I have 2 computers, identical problem. One computer at a time, ganon pa rin. Nagpadala ng tech, may pinalitan na mga cable daw, ganun pa rin. Hindi ko ginamit from march 10 up to april 20 kasi disappointed ako. I used my old ISP na na lowest plan lang pero I’m getting download speeds @ 120-140kbps using 2 computers at the same time in one network. Pero dito sa bayanDSL, 10 – 30kbps, stand alone pa yun. Download ako ng 7.5mb na PDF – it’s a whopping 23-minute download! I regret subscribing for bayanDSL. Pag nakikita ko yung lola ng bayanDSL na-aalibadbaran ako. After 1 year papa disconnect ko na tong bayandsl

Wala yan dto sa lugar namin. Sobrang bagal na ang connection. Kakapagod ng tumawag sa 181. Lugi na sa binabayarang monthly bills. Ang connection pa nman ay 10k Net Premium 3mbps. Daig pa sa globe tatoo. Mga taga BAYANTEL Klan nyo aayusin sa lugar namin. SOGOD SO. LEYTE AYUSIN NYO NA. NAG PAPAYAMAN LNG KAYO!

wag kayo mag PLDT bulok un sa amin sobrang bagal nung 899 plan dati 50 kbps tapos naging 20 kbps nalang tapos ngaun 4kbps nlang sobrang bagal ng PLDT tapos ilang beses na naming tinawag un d manlang napunta ung PLDT kakainis pnY kasi sila underground connections.

i’ve been a bayan dsl subscriber for more than two years already and so far, wala namang problema. there are times when the connection slows down to a crawl pero pag tinawagan mo na yung tech support nila, pupuntahan nila yung house mo within 1-2 days para tignan kung may hardware/line problems. i’m planning to upgrade my existing plan to 1.0 mbps.

siguro lahat ng subscriber jan sa Manila ay walang problem sa connection, pero dito sa Abuyog, Leyte talagang ang pangit ng connection, pa putol-putol then ang hina talaga mas maganda pa yung dial-up, sana makarating eto sa mga namumuno ng Bayantel, paki solusyonan niyo po eto kasi nasasayang lang yung mga binabayad namin pero wala nman maayos na serbisyo. salamat po!

Yesterday tumawag yung taga bayandsl para i inform kami na qualify kami sa upgrade nila just add one hundred pesos lang from 899 (768) to 999 @ 1 mbps and burst on demand upto 1.5mbps.. ngayon ni test ko aba pumalo ng 1.51 mbps ang connection ko. almost 2 years na itong naka bayandsl..

lagi ako walang connection ilang buwan na. meron lang kadalasan 12-4 pm. bwusit. PEAK HOURS nagbliblink na light for dsl…. walang kwenta!!!!!!!!! 2yrs na ko skanila… WALA PA DIN!!! ok nung una e.. naun talga sadsad sila!!!!!!!!!

this week nagkakaproblem ako sa connection ko? lagi akong dc, ang kinuha kong 1.2 up to 1.5 (daw) eh wala pang 1mbps nung ini-speedtest bat genun?? tumawag ako 181, tawag din kau dun if may problema kayo with your connection. i just wanna share lang naman may experience, try nyo tignan yung likod ng mga bills nyo andun yung contact number nila.

how is bayan dsl in manila san nicolas district? pldt dsl is substandard here. my dsl is off service for 13 days now and still not working last month it was down for 2 weeks and they contiune to charge me the full amount of the paln. i had it disconeted today. smart prepaid offers you 2 in one. the cost of dsl at the speed of dial up. globe from my phone based on speed test is good it exceed 1.7 to 2.3mbps. sun i heard is also good pero both is usb dongle or cellphone modem based.so im looking at globelines and bayan dsl and cable internet as possible choices.

pdltdsl is very very very very lousy. thier excuse is that my account is still run by thier old server that why it is slow and is out of service most of the time. when i ask them why i still get the same excuse months after it was use as an excuse. they answered they are working on it. LOYAL subscribers to them must be the dumb ones who continue to pay inspite of no service. i guess tumalino ako today lang.

june 2009 nung nagpakabit kami ng bayan dsl and siguro after four months, may nag-call na sa ‘min na baka daw trip naming i-upgrade yung black box namin to avoid problems daw in the future. sabi namin, no need na muna kasi may bayad din yung pag-upgrade. tapos ito na nga yung problem na palaging disconnected in the middle ng usage mo. so, lagi kaming nagko-call sa customer service ng bayantel. sasabihin ng rep, may papadatingin na tech on that same day pero naman! 2-3 days muna bago dumating. ang mas lalo pang nakakainis, sasabihin ng tech na manipis lang daw kasi yung wirings nung black box so ‘pag natagalan daw ng gamit eh masusunog. so ang sabi ko, eh ba’t pa sila nag-o-offer ng unlimited na net service kung di naman pala kaya nung wirings? tapos sagot sa ‘kin ng tech, “kaya nga, ma’am, need na ninyong mag-upgrade”. parang shit! tactic ba ‘to ng bayantel para maka-isa lang sa consumers nila? kainis! kaya sa mga nagbabalak mag-subscribe sa bayantel, hay naku! ‘wag niyo nang ituloy. magsisisi lang kayo…

Hi! Just subscribe to bayanDSL a monh ago. Sad to say, according to my various speedtest result, Dwnload speed ave. 7kbps Upload speed ave. 26kbps. I’m planning to discontinue my subs w/ this ISP because I did no get what I paid to them!

guys,,, as the same as the others, i’m experiencing a stupid internet connection right here,, 10 to 25 kbps lang ang download speed,, grabe, bad trip,, i think ipapaputol na namin ung bayandsl namin… mas mabilis na kasi ang globe tattoo dito sa samar mga 140kbps kung magdownload ng isang file at umaabot 400 kbps sa midnight!

Hmm… Well, ive been with Bayan for 1 Year na and speed is very very good maybe because their box is just 1 block away from my house… Only issue ko na naresolve naman was dropouts every hour pero as ive said, nafix naman agad. All in all, if i am to rate bayan from 1 to 5 and 5 being the highest, i’ll give it a 4…

This is to inform Bayantel that the 300 increase you implemented this month is unfair! I beg to disagree with the increase.
I had my line with bayantel just last June 2012 when I started my business. Up to now, I am having a struggle with the business, I hope the company understands that the increase is not reasonable and really unfair.
The action of getting increase payment is a form of breaching the contract, meaning, it is unlawful!
