I think Smart is better than Globe. Smart is a dual band network unlike Globe who always seem to have a congested network...there may be delayed messages but this happens seldom....unlike with Globe message are most of the time late..as in late... I guess Globe users are more of pasosyal effect lang

I'm a 0917 user too since 01 May 1999 and haven't changed my number. It pays to be a pioner like GSM than to be an imitator.
I tried to use a Smart SIM and comparably it boot slower than most especially when the built-in phone directory is loaded with 10 items and more.
There have been times when my pre-paid load got confiscated even before the expiry date.
There were more drop calls, especially in the provinces north and south of Luzon.
Though there were, previously but not anymore, drop calls from Globe, I had only 2 occasions when that happened.
GOOD FOR GLOBE

I've always preferred Globe over Smart in many aspects.

For one, Smart's postpaid billing is crappy. And then Smart doesn't even have full-featured GSM service (no call divert, barring, etc., and doesn't correctly send pulses to start the mobile's call timer). And then their prepaid loading--and sharing--schemes are stupid!

I'm for a company that goes for more reasonable and sensible services.

McIntosh hahahahahahaha oh boy, hay nah koh, and they call themselves "Smart"? What an irony, I don't think of myself smart though, rather cautious. Or, just maybe, there's an underpaid but multitasking employee in Smart who got an over diversified job description without a reasonable salary (I was about to state "just compensation" but that's for expropriate).
Anyway, now that I read this blog about proofreading Smart's article, I got the picture about multitasking employees.
Don't you think that Smart Wifi is also multitasking and that's the reason for their "crappy" service?
Oh well, I think Smart is trying to compete with Globe and they over did their task, missed a point here and there.
GOOD FOR GLOBE THOUGH. :-)

Smart is actively trying to bury "Smart WiFi" in the hopes that consumers will not associate the crappy service they got with Smart WiFi with Smart Bro. But it's essentially the same service, with a different branding and subscription packages.

Sheesh.

Or even if they do get (what I presume they mean) Mac OS X, how do you reconcile that with a Pentium II?
