This is a pretty late post on a new service by Sun Cellular; you may recall I ditched Sun awhile back
because of poor signal quality and network congestion. But it’s
better than never. After starting a round of unlimited-plan
battles across the local telcos, Sun Cellular now moves into
semi-unlimited mode with Daylite Call and Text Unlimited.
Daylite CTU is basically a service by which users can enjoy unlimited
Sun-to-Sun calls and SMS from midnight to 6:00 p.m. of the next day.
From 6:01 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., SMS will still be free, but calls are
charged PhP 1.00 per minute. The registration for Daylite is PhP 100 for 12 days.
Still cheap.
Sun did it right this time by charging for the peak calling times,
which normally fall in the after-six hours. Let’s just hope
they’ve also worked on improving signal quality and network capacity.
In case you’re interested in seeing singer and Sun-endorser, Jay-R, here’s a link to the Daylite poster.
