Lenten Reflections at HolySacrifice.net

If you’re in need of words of wisdom this Lenten season, head over to HolySacrifice.net, one of the latest projects of the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice at UP Diliman, where my wife and I serve.
Our parish priest, Fr. Raymond Arre publishes reflections on the Sunday readings each week. For the fourth season of Lent, the theme is Jesus as the light of the world.
We are in darkness when we don’t recognize our insecurities and selfishness that leads us to treat others badly. We are in darkness when we refuse to recognize our addictions, hang-ups and greed. We are in darkness when we fail to see the sufferings of others.
Light shines in us whenever we see not only with our eyes but with the heart of faith. Light shines in us if we have a vision of our unlimited possibilities or make commitments with courage to do the work of Jesus.
HolySacrifice.net is a project I help manage, in collaboration with stellify.net , who did the design and coding. I’ve actually been publishing photos on the media gallery. This is just one of the ways I think the Church can reach out to more people and be more interactive. We haven’t considered opening the site for public feedback yet, but please feel free to get in touch through the contact form.
