DIGG could help you get a threesome!

Check out what happened to this guy. He posted a plea for help on DIGG for people to check out his site, because he and his girlfriend made a bet that if he can build a site that can get 2 million unique visitors in two months, she’d have a menage-a-trois (a threesome) with him and another lady!
So, here’s the story… I said to my girlfriend that any stupid website could get tons of hits, simply because people are bored all the time. She said that I was an idiot and couldn’t make a website that could get tons of hits if I wanted to. After a long argument (mostly centered around the fact that she called me an idiot) we made a bet:
If I could not make a website to get 2,000,000 hits, I would agree that I was an idiot; however, if I could make a website to get 2,000,000 hits, she would have a menage a trois (that’s a threesome to you non french-speakers) with me and another girl. I thought she was kidding at the time, but then she said she was so sure of herself, that she would even put it in writing. This of course is an ultra-binding contract.
Well, well. He got the 2 million plus hits. Now his only problem is screening potential candidates for when they do the deed.
Ah, the wonders of technology.
When your metro’s transport system is crappy
Monday
Apr 3, 2006
My latest post on Pinoy.urban.blog:
You know when your city or metropolis’ transportation system is crappy when restrictive measures are being undertaken to alleviate the traffic or congestion. Rather than solve the problem in rational ways, Metro Manila’s transport managers seem to put the burden upon the public. Why are we the ones who have to adjust? Don’t we pay our taxes? Don’t we pay for fare?
Car bans. Train segregation schemes. Silly road rules. Don’t they get tired of putting upon consumers the burden of solving urban problems?
Google goes to Mars!

The world–or rather the Earth–is not enough!
The creators of Google Maps and Google Earth give you Google Mars!
Come see the Red Planet in all its–umm–Red glory! Check out the planet’s details via satellite imagery, an elevation map, or infrared photography.
Be sure to look out for Martian habitats (or black helicopters?).
Cool remote controlled jet plane

Check out this cool toy. I’d love to have a remote controlled jet that can fly 280++ miles per hour!
Sure looks like it’s difficult to control–much like the real thing. But if I could spend for a toy like this, then I can likely afford to learn how to fly it.

Spot the helicopters

Something interesting over at the Register: the results of the “Spot the black helicopter” competition.
Not exactly breaking news (it’s so four months ago!), but go check out how many black choppers people got to find over at Google Earth.
Yup – it’s a miracle you can go out of your house in the morning without tripping over a black helicopter. Something slightly rarer, but no less black, is the SR-71
Do check out the SR-71s (wait, I thought they were non-existent).
Who needs the NSA to spy on people when Google does such a great job?
