Hi ! this post is 2 years old or more but if (lol IF) im not too late.. i would suggest you dont try bayantel .. as bayantel is just a sister company of globe. i have been a globelines subscriber for 2years up now my first was the 1mbps and now i have the crappy 2mbps which disconnects 5-7 times a day .. and technicians would close the Job Order and say NO TROUBLE FOUND the fuck.

I agree. Rebates are way too slow but they charge soooo fast.

Hi. It’s now 2010. And definitely, things have changed. We’re also planning to change our provider but for different reason. Bayantel internet speed’s fine for me. Their newest offer P1299 for a speed of 1MBPS that can go up to 1.5MBPS through SOD is fair enough. Usually my MP3 file would take 33 seconds, 5GIG games are 14 hours to complete. So I leave the computation to you.

Im currently subscribed to globe dsl plan 1295 with landline,1mbps,and a wi-fi router. My connection is ok so far, Ive got no problems. I usually get a .99-1mbps at speedtests.

No matter what service provider you have in the Philippines…no network is STABLE. I have my destiny cable, BayanDSL and Globe and each network goes up and down..

Whats also important is overcapacity of the networks…and i know especially on the lower packages they are all on the same internet controller.

You can compare internet with Japan or Europe….but cables are glasfiber….and almost to the client….giving high speeds.

That wont happen in the Philippines with their cables overground
and there is exactly the problem.

Only thing that might work is broadband wireless provider…with outside client antennas so the signals are optimal.

what would be the best dsl provider for sta. rosa site? wer moving to another apartment. here in los banos,laguna we are using pldt dsl..well, it’s around 512 mbps…sumtyms drops around 10am then goes back by 11am…then goes down by 4pm. faster speed around 12 midnight…smooth…i dunno about sta. rosa site. how many days ba kakabitan dun for new connection.

Wanted to ask if you ever switched to Globe or a different provider? I live in the Teachers village area and would like to know which provider can give reliable service. I need it for work, VOIP calls, not really for games. Have been using Sun unlimited wireless but service has been suffering of late. Was thinking of Sky, but with the previous comments, am now having second thoughts.
