Unrest part 2 – bloggers beware
Monday
Jul 11, 2005
I’ve been tipped via a group of blogger-friends that Administration-backed
entities have been tasked to infiltrate blogs and spread
misinformation, leave comments, tag messages and trackbacks amounting
to character assassination, and the like.
Of course, floggers (fake bloggers) are not that difficult to
catch. Most modern blogging packages have at least rudimentary
I.P.-address logging, and any blogger worth his salt can most likely
distinguish a real blog from a fake one.
Crack attacks are a different thing altogether. It pays to ensure your site is secure.
Blogs and bloggers are now being viewed as a force to be reckoned with.
Be vigilant.
