My articles and blog posts here and on the other blogs I manage/contribute to have been DUGG several times now, and I’ve posted some of my observations on ForeverGeek:
I’ve a handful of articles and blog posts that have been DUGG to frontpage, and I can say that I’ve had different experiences from each of them. But the few times my stuff had been voted up to front page, one can draw conclusions about the way the DIGG crowd thinks.
Here’s a brief rundown of my DUGG postings:
And what have I learned from this? Well, to get DUGG, you have to know what interests the DIGG crowd. Notable among these are:

1Excellent post. I’d love to be Dugg and see my webhost suffer for all the headaches it’s giving me. But honestly, I’d rather be boingboinged. What does that take?

2Nice exposition on Diggbait!
A friend of mine got boingboinged. Your post has to be sufficiently cute and original.

3Thanks, Migs and Andrew. You know what? The post was frontpaged! And it was buried a few minutes after!

5looks like you’re recent digg was another winner (and a li’l controversial too, based on the comments, but hey, controversy draws in the hits, i guess).
btw, it’s only now that i’ve noticed you’re already monetizing your blog, hehe.

7@Andrew, My hosting provider (Abe) would probably kill me if I killed his servers all the time. Heheh. BoingBoing? Well, I guess it helps to know someone from the inside.
@Major Tom, hope to see your site get DUGG, too! It’s a great feeling, I tell you.
@Corsarius, I think so, too. But the one you guys did (on MySpace) was even more controversial. Yep. Am trying to monetize. Just an experiment for now.
@Thilak, thanks for the comment. I hope my tips are helpful, indeed.

9@SELaplana, just keep on submitting. A lot of DIGGers are arses. So much for democracy on the web, eh?
