Watch Mel & Joey on GMA channel 7 this Sunday, July 15th at about 7:30 p.m. Their topic would be various ways of earning money off the Internet. I was interviewed a few days ago to be a resource person on problogging.

From my interview, some of the things you would learn (which I hope they would include in the final cut):

* How to start a blog
* How to start to blog for income
* Different ways of earning from your blog
* Why problogging is the _in_ thing today
* How much one can earn from problogging
* The benefits and drawbacks of problogging

Of course if you’re interested in blogging for income, then you can also refer to various online resources, such as our very own Blog Herald, Blog Tutorials and Performancing.

Update: Abe Olandres was interviewed right after me.

Updates (watch the video here):

* Video-cap of interview here.
* My thoughts on the interview, and on interviews in general, here.

Didn’t get to meet Mel and Joey myself. I was interviewed off-site by their segment producer.

I believe I may have cited media appearances and citations on my “about”:http://racoma.com.ph/about page. :)

do the networks pay for these interviews. If so, being a “resource person” or “interviewee” would be count as fringe income, wouldn’t it? Though technically, that would not be off the internet but a derivative.

I’m getting interested in joining problogging. In fact, I asked friends who have been into it to tell me more about how to get started. As a result, I was referred to this site of yours and read about your success in the field.

Hope you do well in the future!

I patiently watched through the entire show, but your segment was not included. They ran out of time daw. Perhaps in August 2007, I’ll get to watch your blogging episode, J.

The producers texted me last Sunday afternoon saying the feature will be aired sometime this August. I was disappointed, too, that it wasn’t this Sunday!

I just saw the show. Just some basic info for those who have no idea about blogging. Nothing new. I guess they edited out the details.
It’s nice to know though how much some of us bloggers are earning.. Hmmm, our peso might spike further if millions of Filipinos get on the Adsense program!

well ive seen the last part of the feature, and i think the interviewed blogger should have mentioned a monthly income starting from $1 upwards and not $300. $300 or more per month for bloggers that also know SEO maybe. but for newbies, i doubt they could reach $5 a month with their blogs. im sure many Filipinos will start blogging, but for how long before they get disappointed and quit?

@vbignacio, I was the interviewed blogger. Just another case of being taken out of context or perspective, don’t you think?
