I’ve just tried Windows 7 Ultimate on a pc that was previously running Vista. All I can say is that I am impressed with it. I’ve also removed Norton 2008 from my install and used Microsoft Security essentials instead. Maybe that alone contributed to the performance increase.

Will leave this running for a month and if it runs as smmoth as now, might update all computers in the house all to Windows 7.

Just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Basic installed. I’m loving the OS, better than Vista definitely and a notch above XP.

Now all that’s left is getting Windows 7 installed on my desktop PC.
