CNN reports that PC makers and distributors are not too keen on selling this Microsoft’s “crippled” edition of its OS.  XP N is basically Windows XP without the bundled Media Player, as per European Commission ruling.

I agree.  Why would I want to buy that stuff?  If it were to

be sold for the same price as regular XP home and pro editions, I’d

rather get the full version.  After all, the media player is

user-uninstallable.  And I definitely don’t want the hassle of not

being able to play media files out-of-the-box.

Starstruck? Let's go star tripping.
